A native of Gainesville, Florida, (Go Gators!), Dr. Barrett attended the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine and is a board-certified anesthesiologist.
He completed his anesthesiology residency at Portsmouth Naval Medical Center in Portsmouth, Virginia, and was a 24-year veteran of the United States Navy serving as an anesthesiologist and flight surgeon.
His professional affiliations include membership in the American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA), the American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA), and the American Society of Regional Anesthesiologists (ASRA).
Outside of work, Dr. Barrett serves as an ordained minister, teaches Bible Study, and enjoys hunting, fishing and spending time with his wife of 33 years – Lori, his two children and his 4 grandchildren.
